SportsControl 2Win is a 'thirst quencher' that has been especially designed to ensure optimal absorption of water, sugars and electrolytes during exercise.

SportsControl 2Win is an ideal drink to ensure effective absorption of water, carbohydrates (~sugars) and electrolytes before, during and after exercise. The concentration of carbohydrates in SportsControl 2Win is such that both water and sugars can be optimally absorbed. Moreover, the high salt concentration (sodium) in SportsControl 2Win ensures optimal replenishment of salt and water stores in the body during exercise. That is why SportsControl 2Win is the ideal sports drink to consume during exercises in a warm environment which generate a large amount of water loss through transpiration. SportsControl 2Win can be used before exercise to stock up water and carbohydrate stores in the body; during exercise to compensate for water loss through transpiration and to take in extra carbohydrates as fuel; as well as during the recovery period after exercise to replenish water and carbohydrate stores in the body. Considering its relatively low calorie content (280 kcal per litre), this sports drink is also particularly suitable to be consumed during general fitness training within the context of fitness and health.

Instructions for use:
Before exercise
Exercise is often preceded by a warm-up. The intake of extra carbohydrates and water during warm-up can have a positive effect on performances lasting at least 1 hour. Consequently, the use of about 1 dose of SportsControl 2Win during warm-up can have a positive impact on endurance performance.

During exercise
The recommended intake of carbohydrates during exercise is 0.5 to 1.3 grams of carbohydrates, per kg body weight per hour. For recreational sports activities lasting 1 to 2 hours, or light physical activities of longer duration, an intake of 0.5 grams of carbohydrates per kg per hour is sufficient. This corresponds to an intake of 30 to 35 grams of carbohydrates per hour, which is equivalent to approximately one dose of SportsControl 2Win (=35 grams of carbohydrates) dissolved in 500ml of solution. This dose is also applicable during for example power training or general fitness training. However, when practising an endurance sport in a rather performance-related context and exercise lasts longer than 90min, an intake of 1 to 1.3 grams of carbohydrates per kg body weight per hour is recommended. This is equivalent to approximately 2 doses of 500ml (1 litre of SportsControl 2Win contains 70 grams of carbohydrates) per hour of exercise, depending on body weight. Besides, extra water can be consumed subject to necessity.

After exercise
Despite the absorption of carbohydrates and water before and/or during exercise, the body usually needs extra water and carbohydrates after exercise in order to restore the body's own stores. Sufficient intake of carbohydrates, water and salt (sodium) within the first 3 to 4 hours following intensive exercise is essential to enhance recovery. After having exercised for 1 to 2 hours in a recreational context, the intake of 1 to 2 doses of SportsControl 2Win within the first hour following exercise will generally be sufficient. However, after having performed long-duration exercises and depending on the type of exercise performed (duration and intensity), 1 to 4 doses of SportsControl 2Win within the first 4 hours of recovery following exercise are recommended.
